Randy is Vice President, Principal, and design director at BTR. and is a registered architect in Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, North Dakota, and South Dakota.  His experience includes design and planning of a wide array of project types ranging from small but complex interior remodeling projects to large new facilities. Randy oversees the design of most of the firm’s projects and is adept at working with the input of diverse user groups.

With a deeply held belief that design is a balance of function, aesthetics, cost and schedule, Randy’s background includes involvement with AIA award winning projects in Wyoming, South Dakota and as lead designer for BTR in Minnesota. He is also an award-winning furniture designer as well as a graphic design competition winner and avid amateur photographer.

Randy has been active in AIA Minnesota serving as an AIA Minnesota Board member and leading roles on a variety of committees.
