Bracket Park Pavilion gets a new roof
The BTR designed Bracket Park Pavilion gets a new roof! The park and it's pavilion, ball fields, basketball courts, and swimming pool are enjoyed by many in the Seward Neighborhood. The new roof will give many more years of life and vibrancy to the beloved park.
Dakota County Galaxie Library opens
Yesterday, the 25th of September, Dakota County Galaxie Library opened to great fanfare. The opening drew a good crowd. We hope the crowds keep coming to use this important facility. Our best wishes to all the staff and library visitors in the years to come.
BTR at the Library Journal Design Institute
Ann and Randy participated in the Library Journal Design Institute today. In the morning they engaged participants in an exercise to re-design the Grimes, Iowa Public Library. In the afternoon session they hosted a "speed dating" table to discuss trends in library design with participants.
Dakota County Galaxie Library Reopens September 24th
After completion of renovations at Galaxie Library, the library will reopen to the public on the 24th of September. On September 25th from 6:00 - 8:00 PM the library will host an open house where they will be providing refreshments and music from Ticket to Brazil.

BTR is a B3MN finalist
BTR has been named a finalist in the Best of B3 awards program. From the announcement:
Congratulations! “MSU Moorhead East Snarr Hall Renovation” has been selected as a finalist for a 2018 Best of SB 2030 Award. This is one of several awards that celebrate the achievements of Minnesota B3 program participants. Finalists were selected by the B3 Management Team based on modeled energy efficiency as compared to the SB 2030 Energy Standard.
The three finalists for each award will be recognized and the winner announced at the third annual Best of B3 Recognition Luncheon on Thursday, October 25th from 11 to 1 at International Market Square in Minneapolis. Invitations to this event will be sent via email early this fall. In addition to recognition at the event, finalists will be recognized in a press release and on the B3 website. Award winners will receive three plaques (for the building, the owner, and the design team) and will be featured in a Best of B3 video narrative.
Jennifer McGinnity joins BTR
BTR is pleased to announce that Jennifer McGinnity has joined BTR as a Project Architect.
Jennifer McGinnity is passionate about enhancing the culture of the client, users, and site through design. She previously specialized in design and construction projects at the Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport. Her experience also includes workplace, retail, and education projects.
Jennifer holds a B.A. in Music from Augsburg College in Minneapolis and an Masters in Architecture from the University of Minnesota. Before her career in architecture, she owned a music studio where she taught music lessons to students of all ages. She enjoys exploring new design solutions and technologies, playing the piano and guitar, and spending as much time as possible outdoors. She lives in South Minneapolis.
Jessica Kraft becomes St. Louis Park Planning Commissioner
BTR's own Jessica Kraft has been appointed to the St. Louis Park Planning Commission for a 3 year term. The Commission advises the city council in matters concerning comprehensive planning, zoning, platting, street changes, and general planning and development.
