CENTURY
COMMUNITY AND TECHNICAL COLLEGE This pre-design identified a project specifically designed to support and enhance goals established by the strategic and academic plans of the new Century Community and Technical College: unification of the existing community and technical college campuses; development of a strong connection to the community; creation of an advanced technology learning environment for students; and general facility renewal. In addition, the project creates an exciting and enduring image for a campus that currently lacks a clear identity. A redesigned site and circulation plan with a new pedestrian bridge will create a unified campus, while the new Virtual Learning Center will provide a structural and academic focus to the entire campus. BETHEL
COLLEGE AND SEMINARY The purpose of this study was to anticipate and plan for the physical needs of Bethel College and Seminary for the next twenty years. The entire 215-acre site and each of the facilities have been reviewed in respect to changing academic programs, evolving demographics and advancing technologies. A phased plan of expansion and improvement has been prepared, including the costs and programmatic effects of each step. The master plan is an ever-changing, living document of the Bethel College and Seminary campus. This allows for a continuous updating process in which each newly completed phase is recorded as it occurs along with its implications for the remainder of the plan. |

MINNEAPOLIS
COMMUNITY COLLEGE The intent of this 1978 masterplan was to determine the best locations for buildings of a complete community college program in the Loring Park neighborhood of Minneapolis. The study consisted of three parts: a written and graphic program of required facilities, an analysis of the desired relationship between spaces, and the generation of three alternative schematic designs, with the design at left being chosen by the building committee as the basis for future development. |
