Several innovative design features are used to provide a functional and popular building.  The roof is curved to create an acoustically profound volume around the performers and projects outwards towards the audience.  Pivoting wall panel segments on either side of the stage allow performances to be "tuned", reducing overbearing instrument sounds and strengthening singers’ voices.
