701 EAST LAKE STREET, WAYZATA, MN
From the rotunda-like entry on the corner and Lake Street and Broadway, to the public walkway through the building to the parking lot beyond, this building is designed to gracefully fit in and reinforce the the traditional, small town character of downtown Wayzata. The ground floor is designed to house upscale retail tenants with private office spaces on the two floors above.
WAYZATA ADVISERS LLC, WAYZATA, MN
This financial management and financial adviser firm was looking for an office space that would reflect their success to clients and potential clients, but also maintain a certain "old world" elegance and charm. Dark stained cherry wood work, granite counter tops, elegant wall covering and traditional light fixtures all help to achieve their goal.

4999 FRANCE AVENUE SOUTH -  MINNEAPOLIS, MN
This  40,000 SF mixed-use building extends the upscale shopping district of 50th & France from Edina across the street into Minneapolis.  The building reflects the neighborhood's character by presenting a complimentary street facade of varying volumes and roof configurations.  Projecting bays provide variation, natural light, and views of the surrounding retail district.

Amenities include underground parking, a fifteen foot lobby ceiling, above average tenant ceiling heights, and oversized windows that flood the space with natural light.  Exterior materials include misshapen "clinker" brick for a unique, aged appearance, precast concrete base, exposed steel lintels, and tile roof.

1221 NICOLLET MALL - MINNEAPOLIS, MN
This building was designed in such a manner that there are only two freestanding columns on each floor, allowing maximum space planning options for the tenants.  The landscaped plaza, consisting of a fountain and reflecting pools, was designed to be an extension of Nicollet Mall.  The L-shaped footprint of the building respectfully defers to the historic Westminster Presbyterian Church next door by preserving an unobstructed view of its south elevation, which includes a large rose window.

WYATT & JAFFE OFFICES - MINNEAPOLIS, MN
This executive search firm wanted a  rich, contemporary feel for its new 2,500 s.f. office, one that showed them to be innovative and convey an attitude that they are leaders in their field and have "made it."  Inventive 4'x4' maple veneer plywood flooring fastened with stainless steel screws accents the reception area and conference rooms.  Clerestories introduce natural light to an interior reception area.  A strong color palate of deep toned paints is reflective of the client's print art collection.

DAYTON'S -  MAPLEWOOD
The 225,000 square foot, two-level department store anchors a medium-sized shopping mall in a suburb of St. Paul, MN.  The design features a series of architectural precast pilasters and moldings.  Large niches containing lighting flank the exterior entries, adding to the perceived depth of the elevation and enhancing the nighttime appearance of the building.

INVESTORS SAVINGS BANK - WAYZATA, MN
This building was built as the main headquarters of Investors Savings Bank.  The design is a romantic response to the village character of the town, and has received enthusiastic support from Wayzata's design review committee.  Although its three stories and basement incorporate a total of 50,000 SF, the scale of the building was kept modest by expressing the third floor as an attic.

DAYTON'S - SOUTHDALE
Dayton's 370,000 SF, four level Southdale store offers a unique shopping experience in both service and ambiance.  The store was designed from the inside out based on consumer research and an increased awareness of customer convenience.  A domed forty foot diameter opening in the center of the store accommodates escalators and an elevator.
