Bethel College - Armstrong Stadium      1997

In 1994, Bentz/Thompson/Rietow was hired to prepare a detailed Master Plan for Bethel College and Seminary, outlining the planned growth and development of the Campus over the coming 20 years and beyond. In 1997, the College asked our firm to generate ideas to create a façade for the existing highly visible but utilitarian football stadium prominently located on one end of the Campus, which was a recommendation of the Master Plan. The studies which resulted, used materials found on buildings throughout the campus, accented with large dacron fabric panels wrapped around exposed portions of the stadium structure and lit from behind to create a softly glowing beacon at the south end of the Campus.
